Post Game:

Mets won the fourth game of the four game series by the score of 10-9. They ended up taking the 4 game sweep.

Chris Capuano got the win, but didn't pitch well to receive the win. He is now (9-10 4.51) after pitching 5.1 innings, allowing 6 earned runs on 8 hits, 3 walks and struck out 4 on 98 pitches.

Homer Bailey received the loss, in which he did deserve with his performance. He is now (5-5 4.68) after allowing a career high 9 earned runs on 12 hits through 4+ innings of work. He only struck out 2 and walked 2 on 74 pitches.

After Carlos Beltran was traded, Lucas Duda has stepped his game up these last 2 games. He had a crucial bases loaded double in the 4th inning, giving the Mets back the lead in the 4th inning. Although he is playing very well, no one can replace Mr. Beltran.

Jose Reyes had his worst series this season, getting only 3 base hits in 4 games.

David Wright has unloaded since his return, and it is a great sign after his 1st half misery.

The Mets won all four games against the Reds in the series, which is considered to be a sweep. The Mets bats are doing very well, but the number one player right now is Daniel Murphy, who continues to dominate opposing pitching.

This is a great sign that the Mets are not putting up the "white flag" yet, and will still compete for the wild card spot.

The Mets will face Chin Ming Wang tomorrow night, Wang's first appearance in the Major Leagues since his injury a couple years ago with the Yankees. That game should be interesting.

Carlos Beltran grounded out for his first at bat with his new team, the San Francisco Giants. Since they are playing the Philadelphia, he got boed.

Game Ball: Lucas Duda receives the game ball for his 3 run double in the 4th inning. That was clutch, giving the Mets the lead. He is under lots of pressure after taking over the all-star Carlos Beltran's spot.

Bottom Line: No Beltran, No Problem.
