The New York Mets have fallen out of the playoff race in 2012, and this week on Stache Radio, Matt and I discussed the future.

Not like, Marty McFly or anything, mind you. The future of the Mets as an organization going forward into next year.

We analyzed positions of need going into the offseason, especially outfield and catcher, and what the outlook is at those positions going into 2013.

I myself identified Andres Torres as a guy who I believe has earned a long look this offseason at a possible return, while also conceding that Josh Thole may not be the answer at catcher.
