The average ticket for the Mets-Nationals is $94, a 21% increase of the 2013 Mets’ home average. With tickets still available and Matt Harvey and Zack Wheeler on the mound at least once a piece during the weekend, fans should choose wisely which young phenom they should catch this weekend. Mets tickets for the first game of the weekend set are going for a median of $86, which is slightly above the Mets’ home average, but get-in price of $23 is worth the price of admission to see a Matt Harvey start.
The finale will be even more expensive as first pitch is scheduled for Sunday at 1:10 with the average ticket at $104 and a get-in price of $18. This average is 33% more than the normal Mets game and is due in large part to the home debut of rookie Zack Wheeler, who many consider to have an extremely bright future in the Big Apple, facing off against last year’s breakout star Gio Gonzalez. Mets’ fans should get out to the park this weekend and enjoy not only some stellar match ups but also bargain ticket prices.
